It's no secret that you can’t go through life without facing problems. You will never run out of problems.
It doesn’t matter how educated you are or how rich you become, the problems will always be there. They will change, and they may even become bigger in quite a lot of cases.
What happens if we do not deal with them?
This shouldn’t even be a question that we consider. They won’t go away. There is a high chance that they may even multiply and that they will get out of control. It can become bad for your body and mind as well, depending on what problems you need to face. Not only will you get stuck, but you may even sink lower and lower.
"The best way out is always through." - Robert Frost
There is not too much to argue about here, because at the end of the day, we will have two choices: to deal with our problems or not to deal with them. So if we deal with them, then we can move on and tackle the next problem, and so on.
So how can we deal better with our problems?
The first step that we can take is to take ownership. Identify that it’s in our power to overcome this and also know that there is no better person to deal with our problems than ourselves.
The second step is to challenge that problem. If it has many layers, do some introspection and find multiple ways to tackle it. You should aim to split the problem into two parts to make it look smaller and go for the first part of it.
"I think that little by little I'll be able to solve my problems and survive." - Frida Kahlo
There is a high chance that we haven't yet encountered the problem that will put us in the coffin. So we should just attack our problems and chip away at them little by little, while keeping in mind that they can be overcome.
Don’t give them time to grow and multiply, because they will pile up so much that it will overwhelm you.
Conclusion
Never avoid your problems. Identify them as soon as possible, take responsibility, try to split a bigger problem into more parts so you can start tackling them one by one. We should never wish to have no problems, because this is something impossible.
We should wish to develop the strength to overcome it. And this strength is not limited only to our mentality, but to our fitness level as well, to our finances, to our relationships with others.
Every single domain should be fortified, otherwise it will fall as soon as a bigger difficulty hits it.
Cheers!
