Even though a lot of us wished we could live again as kids, growing up is a beautiful process that should be enjoyed as much as possible.

It will mean that we will get to collect a lot of memories, we will get to explore more, maturity will help us solve a big part of our problems, but we’ll also have to come to terms with certain things.

And also, to understand that not everybody can become mature and all of us know some 30-40-50 years olds who were able to navigate through life without actually growing up as a person.

“I am sifting my memories, the way men pan the dirt under a barroom floor for the bits of gold dust that fall between the cracks. It's small mining-- small mining. “Sometimes problems don’t require a solution to solve them; instead they require maturity to outgrow them.” - Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience

“The older you get, the more you understand how your conscience works. The biggest and only critic lives in your perception of people's perception of you rather than people's perception of you.” - Criss Jami, Killosophy

“Being popular or not, having company or being alone, are not issues of concern for the developed soul.” - Donna Goddard, The Love of Being Loving

“A man is at his youngest when he thinks he is a man, not yet realizing that his actions must show it.” - Mary Renault, The King Must Die

“Experience trumps age,' he said. 'We have to find ways to experience because that's how we learn, that's how we know.” - Iain Reid, I'm Thinking of Ending Things

“On the other hand, when you grow up you will discover that some of the people in this world never passed beyond the stage of the cave-man.” - Hendrik Willem van Loon, The Story of Mankind

“There was that word again.Mature. Was this what maturity was? Giving up on the things we wanted because we knew we’d never get them?”- Diana Peterfreund

“They are not brave, the days when we are twenty-one. They are full of little cowardices, little fears without foundation, and one so easily bruised, so swiftly wounded, one falls to the first barbed word.” - Daphne du Maurier, Rebecca

“Our past is full of incredibly valuable lessons that can teach us how ‘not’ to live life. The problem is that we believe that we’re done being a student in a world where the school of life is never out of session.” - Craig D. Lounsbrough
